The 4th Annual West Coast Salsa Congress is dedicated
to “Creating Unity through Salsa.”
Presenting an annual event for people of all ages and all walks of life
and cultures to unite and enjoy through the common ground of Salsa. This year’s
event is expected to bring over three-thousand (3000) dancers and participants
from over thirty countries to Los Angeles to dance and celebrate Latin Culture
with over a thousand locals. Annually The West Coast Salsa Congress has in
the past attracted many Southland local celebrities and politicians including Andy
Garcia, Nate Holden, Jimmy Smitts,
Elliot Gould, Nicholas Gonzales and Eva Longoria.
“Considering recent world events it is truly
spectacular to see people from all over the world continue to come together
through the art of Salsa music and dance,” said Albert Torres. "It has
always been my company’s fundamental philosophy to produce events that anyone
can enjoy and appreciate each other no matter what outside differences may
exist.”

The 4th
Annual West Coast Salsa Congress will feature dancing from 8:00pm to 4:00am
nightly to notable performances by such Latin music legends as Oscar
D’Leon Y Su Orquesta, Jose Alberto “El Canario” Y Su Orquesta, Sonora
Carruseles, Ray De La Paz, Johnny Polanco Y Su Conjunto Amistad, Freddie
Crespo Y Su Mambo Revue, Orquesta Son Mayor and 15-year-old timbale
sensation and his young group Manolo Y Su Revolucion Juvenil.
With over
one-hundred (100) dance teams presenting their cultural interpretation of Salsa
dancing, nightly dance performances will feature many of Salsa superstars from
around the world, including unique Salsa dance groups such as Jazzy&
Bente (Norway), Salsa With Attitude (Singapore),
Salsa
Locos
(Japan), Salsa Dreamers (South Korea), Salsa Con Clave (Mexico), Mas
Salsa (Germany), Club Latino (Sweden), Salsa
N’Jazz (France), New Latin Ballet (Italy),
Mambo
Swingers (Spain), Salsa Dance Squad (Holland), Swing
Rumbero (Argentina), Dance Dynamics (Australia) Salsamanos (Canada), Felipe Polanco Dancers
(Puerto Rico), among many others. In addition to the adult dance teams being
presented, a large contingency of youth dance teams will be performing such as L.A.
Salsa Kids, and from
Professional
instructors will host over thirty (30) beginner, intermediate, and advanced
dance workshops all day Saturday and Sunday, beginning with a Cardio-Salsa
workout, and including a special Cuban style workshop presented by
Cuban-born Ramon Ramos Alayo. The 4th
Annual West Coast Salsa Congress has earned the global distinction among
salsa lovers and dancers as the leading Salsa Congress to attend.
