  • Are Instructional Videos a good learning tool; is it possible to learn to dance from videos?
    Instructional videos are great for a variety of reasons: - they can be used in the privacy of your own home any time, at your convenience - they are very easy-to-follow and great to learn & review patterns with or without a partner - It is cost effective. - there are many steps & variations and you can go at your own pace - details about hands and counts are easy to visualize and learn - you can rewind and review them as many times as you want, whenever you feel like it.

    Look for the videos marked as beginners, those are the tapes that require no experience at all.

    By far, the biggest barrier will be attitude, not aptitude. A long time ago, I thought about dance ability like I thought about artistic ability: you either had it or you didn't. Now, I don't think about either of those abilities like that. I've personally watched some folks that I thought would be (I hate to say it) hopeless develop into formidable dancers. This experience has been very inspirational and it has made me completely rethink and reject the notion that natural talent is destiny. I believe that anybody who can tap their foot or clap their hands in time to the beat of the music is trainable. When I observe crowds of folks at concerts, I see that 99% of the people can successfully clap their hands, tap their feet, sing along, or play "air guitar" in time to the beat of the music. Almost every teen-aged boy has played "air guitar" or "air drums." This leads me to believe that 99% of adults are rhythmically capable. As far as having two left feet: again, the barrier is attitude, not aptitude. Social dancing requires no more "talent" than rope skipping, swimming, skiing, or riding a bike. Besides, for the rhythm ‘thing’ we sell cd’s to help out!
  • I hate back order delays, do you always have all inventory on hand?
    Generally, we do. Sometimes the demand is so high that we cannot be supplied in time. We will give you an estimate date when the tape will be shipped. If we cannot ship it within 30 days, you have the right to annul (that part of) your order.
  • What happens if a tape arrives damaged, or doesn’t play?
    Contact us, upon return of the damaged tape, we will replace it at no cost to you.
  • What video formats are offered?
    We offer Videos in both NTSC and PAL format, and DVD’s whenever possible.
  • How do I know which format to order?
    PAL is being used in the following countries: Australia, Algeria, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, N. Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa, Singapore, United Kingdom
    NTSC is being used in: America, Bahamas, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan.
    If your country is not listed, check your video player, it will be printed in the machine.
  • If I order on-line can I be assured that the transaction is secure?
    We utilize SSL™ to ensure safe, secure transactions. SSL™(Secured Sockets Layer) is designed to establish a secure connection between your computer and ours using encryption technology. Encryption translates your confidential order information into a secret code that only we can read. This is the most effective way to ensure that your order information is protected.   • Can I order over the phone?

  • Who do I contact if I have a problem with my order?
    We are ready to help if you have questions about your order. You can submit an email to store@atpevents.com and an on-line customer service representatives will respond within 48 hours, or you can call (310) 445 9705 , between 9am and 5pm PST.
  • When will my credit card be charged?
    Your credit card will be charged shortly after you place your order.
  • What is a security code?
    Please click here for more information on the security code of your credit card.
  • What if my credit card payment is declined?
    Check all info: your name as it appears on the card, the credit card number, the expiration date, the security code. Make sure your billing address is the address the credit card company has on file, the shipping address can be any address.
  • When I submit the order, what kind of confirmation will I get that you have received it?
    Upon receipt of your order, we will send you an e-mail confirmation. Upon charging your credit card you will receive another confirmation.
  • If I don’t have a credit card, can I still order at Albert Torres Online store?
    Yes, you can pay by money order (US only), or you can use PAYPAL.
  • If I do not live in the US, can I still order online?
    Yes! We ship all over the world.
  • Are there any hidden costs?
    No, there are not. If you have completed your order, you will see an overview of the complete order, including shipping costs and taxes (if applicable). You will be asked to confirm again, at that point. If you don't, the order does not go through!
